About Me
My imagination is a dangerous place. I know lots of people say this, but I mean it. It's sometimes pretty dark, there are hundreds of characters vying for attention, and no map. Not even a useful mall map that points you in the direction of the nearest Auntie Anne's Pretzels.
Despite the terror and lack of snacks, I have been world building for as long as I can remember. When I was in elementary school, it was all castles and muppets. When I was ten I discovered the glory that is X-Men and wrote notebooks full of fan fiction and made up mutants.
As I came into my teenage years I embraced the quirky way my brain worked and wrote my first novel at seventeen. It isn't very good, of course. I was seventeen. It was something about a girl guardian, space alien who murders an entire planet by accident--you get the idea. I wrote with reckless abandon, though. I took my love for the written word into every avenue I could; poetry, plays, short stories, pages upon pages of back story for every table top roleplay game I have ever been a part of!
My college years strengthened my resolve to be a storyteller. I got my BA in English and MA in Creative Writing, with a future PHd on the horizon [insert pretentious writing babble here]. I've written several novels since then, got married, had two kids, and here we are! I hope you enjoy what you find!
